The Idea

Whistler.  What can you say about Whistler that hasn't already been said?  And what can you ski in Whistler that hasn't already been skied? Tens of thousands of skiers flock to the Sea to Sky each year, and every major peak had ski tracks put down it years and years ago… Or did it? Sure the major backcountry zones get tracked out these days almost as quickly as the resort, and people are getting more and more aggressive with their line choices. Skiing the Aussie and Birkenstock couloirs in early November is now common place. But if you look past the obvious, if you are willing to traverse one more ridge over, to endure just one more hour of extra bushwhacking…. maybe there are lines out there that still haven't been skied.

At least that is what we hope.  But this is the Sea to Sky… and a lot of good skiers have been skiing around here for a lot of years.  So for the time being we not attempt to claim any of these lines as first descents, but merely undocumented descents. Each line has been vigorously researched online, and we have been unable to find any published trip reports so far. But obviously some people keep certain things secret for a reason. If anyone reading this has skied any of these lines before, or even remembers reading about someone else skiing these lines, we would love to hear about it.
